Our Origin

St. Kizito Choir started in 1988, with only 30 members, the choir was serving at Makuburi as a semi Parish under Moyo Mtakatifu wa Yesu Parish, Manzese. with the main focus to serve at the church by assisting and leading others to sing during the holy eucharistic celebrations, and other religious gatherings at different occations.


Ten years later Makuburi was named a Parish and given a name, Mwenyeheri Anuarite Parish. At that time the KMK had already recorded their first Album called Nikimbilie wapi.




Early Stages

St. Kizito Choir from its early days was governed by three pillars,

  2. Prayers
  3. Practice/Hardwork


St. Kizito (KMK) continued with the services and went wide to record other Albums just to foster spreading the word of God. The list goes as follows;

Operation

Our Choir has more than 20 music teachers with different levels of experiences, from beginers to those with more experience. This made it possible to have a good succession plan and and be able to pass by talents and knowledge to the next generation of Catholic Musicians. We normaly work with cooperative grounds, and participation methods.
